(Also a proud member of the Boston Athletic Association since 2008!) Bio: I was born and raised in Dover, New Hampshire, and chose to live in this community for its suburban simplicity. I love all that Dover has to offer, and that it appeals to people of all ages and contexts. It was a great city for me as a child, and is again as part of a married couple and now a working mom.
I believe that a strong education is the best gift that we can give our children, and I am proud to be a part of that gift in the city I grew up in. Most importantly, I hope to instill the next generation with the power to communicate effectively in all situations.
I got my own education first at the University of New Hampshire (double major in English and Communications, and a minor in Spanish). I then focused on teaching and got my M.Ed. at the University of Missouri-Columbia in Curriculum and Instruction.
I am an avid runner and still run competitively for the B.A.A., focusing primarily on the marathon. I just missed the Olympic Trials qualifying standard for 2012, but you may see me on the roads trying to qualify for 2020 and pushing a baby stroller.
